Treatment of congenital dislocation of the hip with the Pavlik harness in th children between 0-6 months of age is presented. 69 hips in 41 patients were followed for an average of 16.8 months. The Pavlik harness reduces the hips without any for e and greatiy reduces the incidence of avascular necrosis of the femoral head. The harness also allows active hip motion while retaining the hips in their reduced position and enhances normal development. The overall success rate was %92.7 with no incidence of avascular necrosis in our series.

0-6 aylık çocuklardın doğuştan kalça çıkıklarının Pavlik bandajı ile tedavisi sunuldu. 41 hastanın 69 kalçası ortalama 16.8 ay izlendi. Pavlik bandajı kalça çıkığını zorlamadan yerine koyar ve femur başı avasküler nekrozu komplikasyonunu önemli derece azaltır. Ayrıca kalçayı yerinde tutarken aktif kalça hareketlerine izin vererek normal gelişmeyi sağlar. Serimizdeki başarı oranı %92.7 dir. Avasküler nekroz komplikasyonu görülmemiştir
