In this study, using calf cervical vertebral column, the efficacy of anterior stabilization in the treatment of discoligamentous injuries was studed. A method that's widely used in clinical practice. There were three groups which included lesion, control (intact) and anterior stabilization groups. We applied non-destructive flexion, extension, lateral flexion and axial loading to each group and observed its effects. As a result there was no statistica/ly significant difference between control and anterior stabilization groups although the quantative values of the control group was belter the than anterior stabilization group. In conclusion anterior stabilization although not as much as normal, provides an optimal degree of stabilization.
