The results of femoral neck fractures treated with the Richards Sliding hip screwplate

Abstract

The patients recruited were those with femoral neck fractures who applied to the Department of Orthopaedic and Traumatology Clinic of Medical Faculty of University of Erciyes, in a period of between January 1985 and December 1992. Twenty-one patients treated by Richards hip screw-plate were followed up by an average of 49.4 months. Pseudoarthrosis occured in 5 of 21 patients (23.8%) whereas avascular necrosis was observed in 7 of 21 patients (33.3%). Twelve patients (57.1%) were assessed as good.

Özet

Ocak 1985-Aralık 1992 tarihleri arasında Erciyes Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji kliniğinde yaş ortalaması 46.1 (min. 20, mak. 72) olan 21 (17 erkek, 4 bayan) femur boyun kırıklı olguya dinamik kalça vida-plağı (Richards) uygulandı. Ortalama 49.4 (min 17, mak. 84) ay izlenen olguların 5 (%23.8) inde psödoartroz, 7 (%33.3) sinde avasküler nekroz görüldü. Yirmibir olgunun 12 (%57.1) si iyi olarak değerlendirildi.
