Abstract
In this study, we investigated the effect of intraarticular injection of bupivacaine, morphine, bupivacaine+morphine and placebo on postoperative pain during arthroscopic knee surgery. The pain was evaluatedaccording to visualanalogousscale (VAS) at. 0.5, 1, 1. 5, 2, 6 and 24 hourafterthe operation. The need for additional analgesic administration was compared between different groups. In placebo group the values of VAS were higher than the three groups. In bupivacaine group the effective analgesia was seen in the early postoperative period, in contrast to the analgesia seen in the Iate postoperative period in morphine group. it is concluded that the best analgesic effect was seen with intraarticular injection of bupivacaine+morphine during arthroscopic knee surgery.
