Pollicization of the index finger by Littler's technique

We operated a patient, who had traumatic /oss of his right thumb, by Littler's pollicization technique in order to obtain functional and cosmetic results. The patient did not accept the transplantation of the first toe for the thumb before the operation. It was thought that neurovascular structures would be transferred easily and musculotendinous components were organised for good thumb function. Af ter operation, acceptab/e thumb and hand function were obtained.
