In this study the role of median nerve stress test in the early diagnosis of earpal tunnel syndrome tCTSl Was investigated. 40 eases of CTS were analised and it was shawn that 20 eases appeared to have Tinel sign (+l and 20 eases Tinel sign (-l. Also in both groups distal lateney of median nerve was investigated before and af ter Phalen test. IT/,. both of. these groups distal lateney increased af ter Phalen test and' it was eoncluded that this test may be valuable in the early diagnosis of CTS.
