Abstract

Blpolm endoprosthesis have progregressively found on increosed field of applicotion r¢ly oı on olternotive to clossicol femoral endoprosthesis. Yet, besides innumeroble superiorities these prosthesis have, the cloim that ane af the double motian oomponents present in the prosthesis seem to be lost in the elapse of tirr1l9 is controversiol. In 14 of our cases followed up at on o",eroge of 17 months the motion of both components has .been rodiologicolly investigated during the post-operative period. In 4 cases, externol motion hos been detected to be 1051. The cousative foctor is discussed under the lig ht of literature.
