Abstract

Dear AOTT readers,

After a busy academic schedule in autumn, filled with important gatherings, we meet you with a new issue. I believe the two articles about orthopedic residency and the survey study querying the treatment choices of expert orthopedists in our country will draw the attention of all our readers.

Starting with this issue, the whole content of our journal will consist of articles e-published ahead of print and already indexed in PubMed. The contents of the two issues, which will be published shortly, are currently available on the Elsevier and PubMed websites. I would also like to let you know that we will also start indexing all previously accepted articles in PubMed before getting published in the next few months.

Another good news we would like to share with you is that our average initial review time has fallen below 60 days. On behalf of you; our esteemed authors and readers, I would like to thank our associate editors and reviewers for their contribution in this accomplishment. In parallel with the shortened review time, there is also a significant increase in the number of submissions received. The 50 articles (excluding case reports) submitted in November 2016 may be considered a new record. I hope that, with your support, we will be able to review your submissions in a swift and precise manner and contribute to them from a scientific perspective.

Best regards,

Prof. Dr. Önder Kılıçoğlu AOTT Editor-in-Chief
