In the last years, one of the interesting topic is on fracture healing with electrical stimulation. According to the results gatheret up tiil this date to lessen the normal period of fracture healing with etectrical stimulation is not possible but in the cases that healing has stopt of slowed-down because of delayed union and non union, by using electrical charge osteogenesis can be storted. Of course, these studies needs the cooperation of engineering sciences with medicine. In this case study, done by the orthopaedics and traumatology clinics of the İstanbul Medical Faculty of İstanbul University, the clinical details and the first results got after 6 months by using direct electric stimulation on a tibia which was infected 6 years before and was still infecfed at the time the first stimulation was given, have been told.
Özet
Kırık iyileşmesinin stimülasyonu amacıyla elektrik atomlarının kullanılması son yılların en heyecan verici ve üzerinde yoğun çalışılan konularından birisidir. Bugüne kadar alınmış olan sonuçlara göre elektrik stimütasyonu iie kırık iyileşmesinin normal süresini kısaltarak gene de mümkün olmamakla beraber iyileşmenin yavaşladığı veya durduğu olgularda, yani kaynama gecikmesi ve psodoriroz olgularında elektrik akımları uygulayarak osteojenezi başlatmak mümkün olabilmektedir. Kuşkusuz bu çalışmalar Tıpla birlikte Mühendislik biliminin ortak uğraşısını gerektirmektedir. Bu yazıda İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Ortopodi ve Travmatoloji Kliniğinde direkt elektrik akımları kullanılarak tedavi edilen 6 yıllık bir enfekte tibia psödartrozu olgusunda uygulanan teknik ayrıntıları ile anlatılmış ve tedavinin 6. ayında alınan ilk sonuçlar sunulmuştur.
