Abstract
42 neglected congenitally dislocated hips of 32 patients who were treated surgically were followed up for a mean of 2,5 years and evaluated for avascular necrosis, The average age was 6,5 years. There were 21 hips with avascular necrosis. Excellent or good results were obtained in more than half of these hips. The deformities, frequently seen, were short and broad femoral neck and coxa magna as a result of avascular necrosis. Clinical tesults were satisfactory with the presence of these two type deformities.

Doğuştan kalça çıkıklı, yaş ortalaması 6,5 olan 32 hastanın cerrahi tedavi uygulanan 42 kalçası avasküler nekroz yönünden değerlendirildi. Ortalama takip süresi 2,5 yıldı.\n 21 kalçada avasküler nekroz saptandı. Bunların yarısından fazlasında klinik olarak mükemmel ve iyi sonuç elde edildi. Avasküler nekroz sonucu olarak en sık görülen deformite kısa ve kalın femur boynu ile koksa magna idi. Bu iki tip deformasyonun varlığında klinik sonuçlar tatminkardı.
